The Society for the Psychological Study of Social Issues (SPSSI) held a Congressional Seminar in which Dr. Rivera gave a briefing on health disparities: “Understanding and pink bouncy castle Addressing Disparities in Physical and Mental Health: Insights from Psychological Science.” Briefing included a synopsis of the state of physical and mental health disparities, presented research on the role that implicit biases plays in health disparities among adults and children, and the implications of health disparities research for policy.
