Doctoral Student, Psychology

Research and Background:

I’m interested in studying social categorization, prejudice, and intergroup relations. More specifically, I want to examine how gender stereotypes interact with context and culture to shape people’s behaviors, attitudes, and perceptions and how these processes unfold in organizational settings such as schools and workplaces. As someone who has been exposed to both Eastern and Western cultures, I’m also interested in studying cultural impacts on these phenomena. I also want to examine the long-term consequences of these processes by examining these questions in educational settings. After studying these processes, I hope to develop data-driven interventions that can reduce the adversarial impacts of these processes.
